Our corrections policy and a running log of every substantive change we have made after publication.
Policy
When we publish something wrong, we correct it on the page and record it here. We do not silently edit and move on.
- Factual errors are corrected as soon as we confirm them, with a dated note on the article.
- Substantive changes — anything that alters a conclusion or a recommendation — are logged below.
- Routine updates (a refreshed price, a new study added, a clarified sentence) update the article’s “Updated” date but are not logged individually.
- Regulatory status changes update the page’s “Status last verified” date.
If you have spotted an error, please tell us. Include the URL and, where you can, a source. We take corrections from readers seriously and we will credit you if you would like us to.
